About The Author

Edward L. Martin Jr.

Edward Martin, born on March 13, 1950, in Honesdale, PA, devoted his career to helping children. After working in the juvenile probation department and child welfare office, he became an elementary school counselor, providing support to students from grades K-6. During his 12 years with the agency, Edward worked with foster children, abused children, and those in placement. He also served as a supervisor of the county group home and child abuse supervisor.

In addition to his counseling work, Edward channeled his passion for children into writing children’s books. His books covered various themes, from playful and fun stories to bibliotherapy for issues like bad dreams, separation anxiety, and a parent leaving home.

As a former primary school principal and special education administrator and teacher, I highly recommend this book. It has a simple rhyming cadence (which include math), vivid illustrations, and a high interest book for new readers. I would recommend this for a teacher’s library without hesitation.
